Hello! And welcome to the final Halloween tour of our current home. This time next year, we will be settling into new home, in a new city, village, country, continent, who knows?! That is the wonderful guessing game that is military assignments. For now, we are trying to enjoy every minute of our last holiday season here. I think this is my favorite Halloween tour ever. Probably because I am loving the look of our home and feel like I have finally nailed down my interior design style. Of course, I won’t get to really spread my wings until we own our own home again and I’m not worried about resale, but we have a little longer to wait for that. For now, I’ll get as creative as my landlord lets me ;-).
This year’s “theme” is witchy again. I don’t know if that’s because I subconsciously do that or it’s what my Halloween decorations look like or if my cottage style decorating creates that vibe, but I like it. So, come on in and tour our house spooked for Halloween!
The entryway is covered in black butterflies that I ordered from Amazon last year. I’ve used an adhesive putty to attach them to the walls and objects and a few are hung with fishing wire hot glued to their backs and then tied to a command hook on the ceiling. My Walmart skeleton is adorned with dried flowers and creepy cloth. Battery twinkle lights are hung from the ceiling with adhesive putty as well.

For the hallway, I added some fall stems, cheap plastic spiders, lots of cobwebs and some creepy cloth. I used fishing wire attached to our light fixture to hang the battery operated candles.

I only added a few crows to our guest bath. I got those about 6 years ago from Amazon.

The main living areas are decorated with large spiders that are meant for outdoor decorating. I thought they would look so cool crawling around our walls. I used command hooks and more fishing wire to hang them.

I added some fake potions and apothecary bottles to my usual decanters and made a spooky centerpiece for our dining table. The Lego Dobby was an impulse buy that I couldn’t resist!

And finally, our kitchen. I mostly keep to the walls and above the cabinets when decorating in here because it is such a small space. Counters are valuable real estate when I’m cooking for our big family, so I can’t afford to put out too much holiday decor. I do like to set a cute centerpiece on our DIY island though.

And that’s it, folks! I hope you enjoyed it and maybe get a little inspo for your own home. Thank you for checking my blog out and I hope you have a spooky fun Halloween!!
