I only have two more rooms to show you for our Christmas tour this year. The kitchen is still in the same state as it was when we moved in (slightly dirtier) and the bedrooms aren’t really ‘blog worthy’ either, so I just figured I’d stick to the main areas of the house. Next year, I promise to wow ya! 😉
I was going to wait to show you the dining room when my new light shade comes in, but I’m already behind the pace with other decorating bloggers so I better just go ahead and show y’all. At least that will give me an opportunity to show off this room again when it does come in. So, without further ado, here it is all decked out for Christmas.
I found more printables on Pinterest this year. It’s amazing how free artwork and some cheap frames with mattes can look so good!
The hot cocoa bar found it’s way back to the green buffet.
Here’s another mini tree with more keepsake ornaments.
I had big plans to do a full table setting this year, with beautiful plates and placemats and napkins, etc. After exhausting myself with everything else, I realized I would have to settle with a pretty centerpiece and save those dreams for next year.
I found the glass trees, ceramic deer and votive candles all at Homegoods. I picked up the greenery from my local grocery store.
And finally, the most important Christmas decoration of all, the tree! I bought this tree from Home Depot last year and was so excited to get it back out this year. We stored it inside the house so we could make sure nothing happened to it and we put it all together and plugged it in….. and it didn’t work!!! I could’ve cried! Luckily we bought a protection plan and I got a full refund (which I plan on buying another tree with after Christmas) but still, what a bummer!! I decided to suck it up and pick up some new lights and put them on myself. I went with the large bulbs and I think they look great. Eventually I plan on flocking this tree, but that can wait until next year when I finally get my all white Christmas! Shhhhhh, don’t tell the rest of my family 😉
Finally, the office. Let me warn you that I took some of these pictures during the day and then some at night. I was having trouble shooting it with all the light that comes in the windows and since I’m clearly an amateur, I gave up and waited till it was darker and used artificial light.
Our final mini tree 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this year’s tour. It was a lot of fun to put together and I know my family is happy with their multicolored Christmas house. Hopefully you all are enjoying your holiday and are decking your halls as well! Merry Christmas!
